A STAR-STUDDED AFRO NATION FESTIVAL 2023
Africa’s A-list musicians will shut down the beach next week during this year’s annual Afro Nation beach festival in Portimao, Algarve region of Portugal. The three-day festival, to be held from the 28th to the 30th of June, will have headliners like Burna Boy, Wizkid, American star 50 Cent, Davido, Booba, and DJ Maphorisa, among others.
Burna Boy is set to make a comeback on stage after a little hiatus affected his sold-out show in the Netherlands last weekend, but he is promising to do his magic again in Portugal on Wednesday. On the same day, other artists who will be performing include Arya Starr, Oxlade, Nissi, Camidoh, The Compozers, and Jamaican dancehall star Popcaan.
On Thursday, Wizkid will be headlining the second day of the festival alongside Asake, Black Sherrif, Lil Simz, Ms Banks, and BNXN, among others.
The final day, Friday the 30th, will have a showdown between Nigerian star Davido and American hip-hop legend 50 Cent on one stage. Others performing on the same day include Booba, Fireboy DML, Vegedream, Gabzy, Sauti Sol, and Gyakie.
For the Amapiano music lovers, DJ Maphorisa and Major League DJZ will be keeping them on their feet throughout the festival.
This is the second year Afro Nation is being held after the Covid-19 pandemic, where all the concerts were cancelled for two years.
