DESCRIPTION:The Mawazine Festival 2020 holds on eight stages around town\, Mawazine seems to take over Morocco’s capital city of Rabat for its eight-day run. \nIn 2013\, 2.2 million people (more than 3 times the population of Rabat) attended the festival’s more than 100 concerts. \nSince Mawazine’s debut in 2002\, big-name headliners have included Stevie Wonder\, Kylie Minogue\, Quincy Jones\, Elton John and Whitney Houston\, and musicians and singers from across Africa\, India\, Europe\, the Caribbean and South America have rounded out the roster \nThe festival brings together top notch names in Arab\, Africa\, and other international musicians. It also displays the best of the best artists on the Moroccan music scene. \nStages at the festival\nThere are four main stages at the festival: \nOLM SOUISSI – international stage – it’s considered as the stronghold of international music. It is the main place for popular gatherings that are the secret of Mawazine. \nNAHDA SPACE – Oriental Stage – This stage is dedicated to Arabic music. It offer festival-goers a unique opportunity to discover the best of midden and classic repertoire of the region. \nSALE BEACH – Moroccan Stage – This stage dedicates half of its schedule to Moroccan artists which is also a unique boost for young talents of the country. \nBOUREGREG – Rhythms of the World Stage. This stage is dedicated to fans of African music.
