As it enters the 66th year of independence\, we live in an age where many of us can benefit from knowing more about our culture. We can do that by shedding light on Ghana’s Independence – especially being the first African country to gain independence. \nFor the annual success of The Compozer’s sold-out celebratory concert in the UK\, it is only fitting they team up with one of Ghana’s and Africa’s most renowned rappers\, Sarkodie\, to curate a remarkable musical experience of a lifetime. \nAfter a sold-out date\, The Compozers x Sarkodie and Friends Ghana Independence’s exceptional return for a second date\, 6th March 2023\, at the newly acclaimed Outernet venue in Central London. \nGoing into the 10-year celebrations of The Compozers\, we use this event to kick off the official festivities. Collaborating with the king of Ghana hip-hop is nothing new to fans. \nThe Compozers & Sarkodie have managed to create an organic relationship over the years\, performing with him at some notable shows throughout his career\, including the first African acts to sell out New York’s Apollo Theatre. During the spontaneous appearance of Sarkodie at The Compozers last year’s Ghana Independence show\, plans for an annual headline show had to be the next thing. \nSarkodie has cemented the music industry with over a decade in music. Recently taking to the stage at the Global Citizen Festival in Accra\, which saw him perform alongside acts such as Usher\, Tems and SZA.
